- I tried the brand-new VICE emulator. Alas, the window it gives me remains
- blank white. The C64 code runs -- correctly as far as I can tell with the
- debugger -- and if debug modes are turned on, I can see that an 8x8 pixel
- area is updated at the cursor flash rate... but the window remains blank.
-
- I know nothing about X-Windows. The Sun Sparc10 with SunOS 4.1.3 and
- OpenWindows 3.0 has a non-standard X setup and a non-ANSI C compiler, but
- a bit of hacking and slashing of Makefiles, and the GCC compiler, usually
- get things to compile and link and then they work OK. The old X64 does.
- Anyone have an idea what magic button I may have pressed, or failed to
- press, to cause this not to work?
-
- MITSHM mode on and off makes no difference.
